Subjects covered will include: Introduction to OSHA, Electrical Safety, Aerial Work Platforms, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Walking and Working Surfaces, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, Hazard Communication, and Fall Protection.
Presenter Dave Glowacki
If possible, Local OSHA Consultation Service representatives will lead portions of this workshop, and we will tour of a nearby performance facility to help familiarize participants with OSHA inspection procedures.
The lead instructor will be David C. Glowacki, Production Manager & Assistant General Manager of the Performing Arts Center at Kent State-Tuscarawas. He has served USITT as the Safety & Health Commissioner and is the Associate Editor of Safety & Health for TD&T. In 2008 he became a licensed Aerial Work Platform Safety instructor. Dave is a regular presenter at USITT National and Regional events, and is serving on the Board of USITT-OVS as a Member-At-Large.
