Kathleen DeVault is currently head of Ohio Northern University’s International Theatre Production program. She earned a BA in theatre/English from Ohio State University and an MFA in lighting and sound design from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Before coming to ONU, she was the resident lighting designer at Smith College and did freelance lighting and sound designs for various companies, including Natarjii Dance Company, Chrysalis Theatre, New Century Theatre and the Drama Studio. At ONU, Kathe has designed lights for Elysium, Suddenly Last Summer, Miss Julie, Children of Eden, Jekyll and Hyde, Magic Flute, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Medea, Godspell, Tommy, Jazz Blues and Dance II and III, Carousel, Grease, and The Underpants and designed sound for Midsummer Night’s Dream, Medea. Picnic, and Assassins. She has lit all the International Play Festivals and served as scenic and sound designer for a few. DeVault also has designed lights for the Wellington School in Columbus, Ohio (musical Tater Tots of Love) and Columbus Children’s Theatre (Xanadu Jr., Willy Wonka Kids, Mary Poppins Jr., Cinderella Kids and 13. She did the lighting and sound design for Freed Purple Monkey’s production of A Matter of Choice at the New York Fringe Festival. She is currently the chair of the Ohio Valley Section of USITT as well as the national president of Theta Alpha Phi.

Sabrina Hykes-Davis is primarily a Scenic Designer as well as a Technical Director but has worked in many areas of theatre. She holds an MFA from West Virginia University in Theatre Design and Technology, and a BA from Point Park University in the same. She is an Assistant Professor at California University of Pennsylvania. Recent projects include Star Shine! for the Jumping Jack Theatre in Pittsburgh PA, which creates sensory friendly, immersive theatre pieces for children on the spectrum. She frequently designs for South Park Theatre in South Park, PA. and will be joining the staff as the resident Technical Director for their 2022 Season. She also serves as an instructor and designer for the Mon Valley Performing Arts Academy.
