A discussion on the importance of being deliberate in the choice of colors in costume designs. Lessons on color theory, color symbolism, and showcasing plot and character relationships through color.

Darien O’Neal is a designer whose work includes costume design and hair design for theatre, pageants, photo shoots and short films. Originally from San Domingo, MD, she graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA where she earned a degree in Production Design with a concentration in Costuming. In 2023, she relocated to take on the job of Costume Shop Supervisor for PennWest University where she works with the talented students in the Visual & Performing Arts Department. She has designed for PennWest, South Park Theatre, State Theatre Center for the Arts, and Stage 62.
