We Had a Great Year!

WE DID SO MUCH TOGETHER LAST YEAR. Here is a review of our many activities.
While in Ft. Lauderdale for the National Conference the second annual Ohio Valley Social was held. Hors d’oeuvres were bought by the section and we had around 30 people who stopped in. It was a great to see our student members interacting with the “adult” members.
The Ezekiel 2017 - 2018 Board Choice Winners toured California University of Pennsylvania, Seton Hill University and the Cover the Walls at the National Conference. Currently they are at Ohio Northern University and then will travel to Miami University.
This year's Board Choice Winners were:
On May 19, 2018 OVS collaborated with the Theatre Historical Society of America for a Tour of Historic Pittsburgh Theatres and the archives of THS. Karen Glass (VC of Communications) was instrumental in planning this event. There were approximately 20 people in the combined group through the Pittsburgh Public Theatre, The Benedum Center, and The Stephen Foster Memorial Theatre of the University of Pittsburgh, and the THS archives.
OSHA 10 Training was held June held at Kent State Tuscarawas and on Labor Day at Ohio Northern University. 20 people attended, between the two sessions.
Our Annual Fall Conference was held on Nov 10th at University of California, Pennsylvania, Approximately 75 members attended including several high school students from Firestone High School. John Siciliano was the keynote speaker teacher, actor on Bull and a Paralympic athlete. 3d printing, ION training, Yamaha software, up-cycling old lighting, leather mask making, properties work for weapons were among the many sessions.
