Session: Why & How Should You Budget (Scenery/Props)

It's hard, time gets away from you, you may not know how much you have, you're doing it all yourself - but budgeting for a show is important! Come learn and share some information on how and why you should budget for scenery and prop items both for materials and labor!

Calia Yates: Currently the Production Manager and Technical Director with the Department of Theatre & Dance at Seton Hill University. Teaches courses of Scenery Construction, Stage Management, and Introduction to Production. Caila has worked in multiple educational settings and professional theaters. She is also an outside scenic contractor for local theatres, churches, any other gigs as a carpenter or drafter. Caila holds a BFA in Technical Theatre, concentration in Technical Direction, from Point Park University and is currently pursuing a MBA with the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business. Caila holds her OSHA 10, First Aid, CPR & AED certificates.
