2026 OVS Board Nominations are open!

Calling for nominations for the following positions:

Chair

The chair presides at meetings, takes general charge of the activities of the Section and is responsible for periodic reports to the Board of Directors of USITT as stipulated in USITT bylaws.

Vice Chair of Programming

Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of the annual Fall Conference and other section virtual and in person events.

Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for: the Section roster of members minutes of all meetings the section bylaws and the USITT-OVS Handbook communicating the status of each Board Member at the start of each fiscal year and nomination process to the Membership of the Organization.

Member at Large- 4 seats

Assist the Vice Chairs with their work and the projects of the Board in general. At-Large Members are encouraged to be active in the Section committees by assisting one or more committees to facilitate governance and communication between the committees and the Board.

All seats are 3 year terms.

To nominate yourself or someone else, email VC of Operations, Patrick John Kiernan at pkiernan@oberlin.edu before April 30th. Voting will be open between May 1st and May 31st with winners announced in June.
